Post-contract and reporting

The contract phase, on the same numbers

Most estimating tools stop at tender. Quantifiable carries the same provenance discipline through variations, valuations, programme tracking and the final account — which is where the money is actually decided.

The work

In the terms your contract actually uses

  • Variation build-ups

Price JCT variations and NEC compensation events with the same tools as the original estimate — at contract rates, adjusted rates, fair valuation or daywork. Each carries its own build-up, lifecycle and register entry, and once agreed the figure is locked; re-opening it is a recorded act.

  • Interim valuations

Percentage complete by bill line, materials on site with vesting and insurance checks, agreed variations and retention. A certified valuation never moves, so the certificate you issued stays the certificate you issued.

  • Payment certificates

Certificates issue from the valuation they were computed from, with the arithmetic shown rather than asserted.

  • Final account

Contract sum through variations, claims, provisional sums, contingency and damages to the settled figure. Additions and omissions are listed separately, every line points at its evidence, and both parties sign.

  • Client approvals on the record

Issue to a portal carrying your firm's branding. Clients accept, reject with comments, or request line changes; the decision trail is append-only and time-stamped.

  • Payment-gated release

Share drafts as watermarked, view-only pages, raise an invoice against the accepted document, and release the true file only once the payment has actually settled.

Programme

Earned value on the work you priced

Draft a programme from the priced estimate, refine it on the Gantt and baseline it. Critical path is computed as you go, and cost performance, schedule performance and estimate at completion are tracked against the baseline as the job runs. Progress and actual cost are entered by your team rather than inferred, so the indices reflect what someone has actually assessed. Programmes export to Microsoft Project for contractors who live there.

Reports

Generated from one pricing engine

Reports render from the same engine that draws the screen, so the PDF you issue always agrees with the numbers you saw. They generate in the background and share by expiring link, including straight into the client portal.

One set of numbers, from drawing to settled account

Measure, price, programme and issue — and be able to defend every number in between, long after the people who produced it have moved on.
