Cost database: assembly defaults

The Assemblies tab stores the firm’s default cost links for each built-in component, so you do not re-link Groundworkers Gang on every job.

Open Assemblies. You see every built-in template and its components (excavate, shuttering, and so on).

Link items, labour, gangs or plant here. Those links become the default the next time someone opens that assembly in takeoff.

A takeoff session can still override the default for that one measurement. A material picked on the takeoff costing pane is remembered by material and size and shows in the Linking Assistant activity below; Save labour and plant as default on the pane writes the labour, gang and plant links back to this tab.
