Cost database
The cost database is your firm’s price library. It starts from a maintained UK list. You override what you need.
Open Cost database in the main nav. Tabs cover categories, items, labour, gangs, plant, assemblies and formulas.
You inherit the maintained UK library (MPL). A tenant override wins over the MPL. A project override wins over the tenant. An estimate-line override wins last.
Every change is versioned. An estimate priced last month keeps last month’s rates.
Regional multipliers adjust the baseline for your default region (Settings and the region control on this screen).
You can import items from a spreadsheet template. Download the template from this screen first so the columns match.
Examples
London brick rate
The MPL has a national brick rate. You set the workspace region to London. Then you override that one item with your merchant’s quote. Old estimates still show the rate they were issued with.
