Takeoff: measure a drawing
Start a session on a PDF, set the scale, then measure. AI suggestions do not count until you accept them.
Open the project → Takeoffs. Start a session and pick the drawing.
Calibrate first. Draw a line over a known dimension (a 10 m grid, a stated width). Until you do this, numbers are only screen pixels and they are wrong the moment you zoom.
Measure with linear, area (polygon, rectangle, ellipse), count, or freeform tools. Put work on layers so you can hide a trade.
Ask the AI to read a title block, find symbols, or propose takeoff. Each suggestion arrives as pending, with a confidence score. Nothing is added to the bill until you accept it.
If you reject a suggestion, add a short note. That note teaches the next run your firm’s habits.

- Example: If the bar is 10 m, type 10. Do not type a scale ratio such as 1:100 unless the tool asks for that form.

Choose the scale tool. Trace the printed 10 m bar. Type 10 and the unit m. After that, a 25 m wall on the drawing stores as 25 m, not as 412 pixels.
