Settings: cost database
Past pricing imports, the original files, and superseded item prices stay here so a rate can always be traced.
Each bulk import of the Items library creates a numbered pricing version (for example Pricing import v7). The original file is kept with that version.
New items are given an item code automatically. Existing items are updated to the file’s prices. Previous prices stay on this page.
Undo this import (owners and admins) restores that run: previous current versions come back, items the import archived are un-archived, and inherited items it hid are shown again. Earlier versions are not deleted. A failed import with tagged rows can be undone the same way.
The superseded items table lists replaced, archived and deleted rates. Restore this version writes a new current version rather than rewriting history.
Export from the Items tab downloads the live library as CSV or Excel. The same headers are used on import, so a file round-trips.
Examples
After a price list lands
Import the supplier file on Items. Open Settings → Cost database to see Pricing import v3, download the source file, and restore last quarter’s rate on one item if a cell was wrong.
