Cost database: product library

When your firm has the product library switched on, this tab lists the products Builders Megastore prices, each with one ex-VAT price and its date. It is read-only.

Open Product library. Each row is a product: code, description, unit (and pack, where it is sold as one), a single price excluding VAT, the date the merchant gave for that price, and the library release that carried it.

The prices are indicative. The disclaimer at the top of the tab is interim wording, pending legal review: you remain responsible for checking rates before you issue.

You cannot edit a library row. To use your own price for your firm, or to hide a product, open it in the Items tab and override or hide it there. To add something the library does not contain, use My custom items.

An estimate keeps the price it was priced at. When the library moves on, use Refresh prices on a draft estimate or schedule of works to see every change, line by line, before you approve it.
