Plant rates are hire prices for machines, usually per hour or per day.
Open Plant rates. Add a machine, its unit and its hire rate.
On a takeoff assembly or a bill buildup, link the plant row and set per unit to how long you need it for one unit of the material line.

Mini excavator
Plant: 1.5 t excavator. Unit: hour. Rate: 38.0000. On excavation, per unit 0.250000 means a quarter of an hour of the machine per m³.
